Peach has been literally wiggling with excitement for weeks!
Ever since we first put her costume on, she's been on cloud nine just thinking about the excitement of Halloween.
So, Friday night the ECFE program in our school district threw a Halloween Party for the pre-school kids.
Peach was the cutest little bat you've ever seen!
And because she was so stinkin' cute, I had to take a million pictures....
Hubby was a tic.tac.toe board complete with tic.tacs and toes....
Thank you, Family Fun Magazine for the idea!
Peach with her little buddy, who came over with her Momma and Papa for supper before the big party.
And although it was almost Tulip's bed time, we did manage to get her dressed in her flower outfit and she made an appearance at the party, only to fall asleep shortly after arriving.
Fast forward to Monday...Halloween night.
We visited a few friends' homes.
We had taken Peach trick-or-treating last year, but this year was so much more fun! She actually got it! And she knew just what to do!
Everyone else must have thought she was as cute as we did because she got oodles of candy!
This is how Tulip rocked her Halloween costume...napping while Sister scored all the candy
Hubby sported yet another costume...I'm thinkin' Arby's
Next, we headed over to our church parking lot.
Our church does this great activity called TRUNK OR TREAT every year. Families decorate their trunks and create a game for the kids to play. They hand out tons of candy and the kids have a blast doing something that's totally non-scary.
Peach loved it. And Tulip woke up just in time. She was a good sport, just watching Peach go into competitive gamer mode.
Potty break/Mommy showing Peach how the fangs work :)
LOVED this one!
It got a little chilly at the end, so we visited one last trunk...
This one you actually had to crawl into and when you got in there, they had a treasure hunt.
We didn't participate in Wii bowling, but I thought it was awesome that someone had rigged this up in the bed of their pick up!
When we got inside, I discovered that Peach, Tulip and Hubby had "chosen" stickers. That meant that they had been chosen to be part of the costume contest. I was thinking we'd get them to bed at a decent time, but instead we stayed to see what the contest was all about.
While we waited for everyone else to finish up outside, Peach played for a bit in the nursery.
Fellowship, worship and the costume contest......
There were about eight people who had been "chosen" to be in the costume contest and three came from my little family - what a proud Momma I was!
Peach won this massive lollipop for her costume.
As you can see by the picture, she was more than tuckered out at this point. Normally, a sucker this size would have her grinning from ear to ear. We promised her that she could enjoy her treat tomorrow and she didn't even fight it.
So, home we went to put bonzos to bed....
We are tired, but full of good memories of Halloween 2011.
May the rest of our end of the year holidays be as sweet!
