pumpkin orchard

So, we did the whole "apple patch" thing, but couldn't let fall pass without a trip to the "pumpkin orchard" as well.  Hubby missed out on this one.   He was on a trip with some buddies to see the Vikes lose in Kansas City.

Anyway, they had fun and so did we.

Spent some time at my parents' house and visited the local pumpkin patch.

The highlight of the day was that Uncle and Auntie came along.
What a treat!
They're in the process of adopting...we ask the Lord for cousins every night.  I have a very good feeling that He's about to deliver soon.  And they're gonna' be awesome parents!  Some lucky little guy or gal out there has no idea how much love is waiting in these arms.

Tulip is getting almost big enough to join in on some of the fun.

Peach loved up the animals.  Lots of cats, a fat goat, llamas and this funny bunny.

I absolutely love this shot of Auntie drinking in my little Tulip.
I will be more than glad to return the favor someday.

Peach got to ride through alphabet hill on this little train.  She was the only passenger, but the conductor was kind enough to give her a special ride.

We enjoyed a little min-golf...and I do mean A LITTLE.  When you are 2 years old, you don't make it much past the third hole before you start throwing the golf ball instead of hitting it and that becomes dangerous for everyone involved.

However, I was not too sad about leaving mini-golf when we found these pumpkin bars calling our names from the cafe.

These pictures of my dad with Tulip make my heart happy.
Peach and Grandpa are good buddies and I'm pretty sure that Tulip is going to have a special spot in her heart for my dad as well.

Finally, we took a hayride out to the pumpkin patch and let Peach pick out her very own pumpkin to take home.  She also snuck a gourd out with her and since my dad had already paid, the man at the weigh station let her have it for a smile.

Maybe I should try that sometime...I have a feeling I wouldn't have the same effect.  Something about those blue eyes and curls....

Hubby sure missed out.  I'm absolutely ecstatic that fall is here...and that winter doesn't seem to be too close at hand.  Seems like the past few years, we've gotten short-changed on this most excellent season.  But this year its lasting and we're soaking up every minute!  Love these days of just being together.
