neighbors

Peach is really into playing "neighbors" lately.  I think it is sweet and want to remember these days of playing on the floor as I know they won't last forever.  So here's how it goes...

We each have a house.  (She's got two because I got them both for cheap, cheap, cheap at a garage sale.)  She always gets the house that makes noises....the toilet flushes, the microwave beeps and the phone rings.  While I always get the 2nd rate house that doesn't have any bells or whistles.

Then we pull out the "neighbors" from their slumber in the closet.

Boots, Dora and Diego always live at Peach's house, while I usually choose someone different each time.

The "neighbors" often get together at my house for coffee.

Wonder where she gets that idea.....

Here is the little road that runs between our houses.

The school bus will come to pick me up if I'm being a "good listener".  But if not, Peach makes me walk to her house. :(

After a while, we always end up at someone's house for lunch.  Peach is a wonderful hostess and always asks what we want to drink.

After lunch, its off to the park to play!

And then, a nap........

...while Grandpa checks his email...

If I'm lucky, Diego will come over to visit me while the baby is sleeping, but I have to whisper so I don't wake her up.

This picture was taken after I talked too loudly and Peach had to try to get the baby back to sleep.

Oh, how I love watching her pretend....and practice.  After all, isn't this just a little girl's way of preparing for someday?  

So glad I get to watch it unfold.
