Peach has been marching around the house and shouting "Hosanna" ever since she learned about the triumphal entry to Jerusalem.
On Palm Sunday, we had plenty to shout about.
My mom's side of the family gets together to celebrate Easter each year on Palm Sunday.
This year, we all gathered at our house.
My brother and sister-in-law came early with my parents.
Which meant that Peach got some extra snuggles with her buddy, Louie.
Later, it was pure joy to see my girls interacting with their greats....
I knew my great-aunts, uncles and great-grandparents when I was growing up and I'm so glad that my girls will have memories of these important branches on their family trees.
the day started out foggy and cool, but after lunch we were able to get out for an easter-egg hunt.
the eggs each had a verse inside and were numbered.
when we got back in, we all took a few eggs and opened them, reading aloud the story of Jesus.
it was a sweet day, filled with all the things we love:
good food, funny stories, laughter, family and Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs....enough said.
