a little adventure

I can feel the rhythms of our home changing...shifting into summer mode.
Staying up late...
Eating watermelon by the fistfuls...
And itching to get out on day trips - away from the normal routine.

Exhibit A:
Saturday, we headed out on a little adventure.

I needed a few more flowers to add to the pots I'd planted on Mother's Day.

And we'd heard about this cozy little spot not far from home.

So, we decided to check it out.

A meandering little lane tucked away on a gravel road.
It was totally hidden, which made it seem all adventure-ish.  :)

We thought we could sneak it in before Tulip's morning nap, but she decided to snooze while we shopped.

win.win

We arrived to find a sweet little nursery packed with the most beautiful blooms.

Lucky me...they had a table full of exactly what I needed, marked down to $1!
I love a good bargain!

They even had a sand box for Peach to dig around in while I made my final selections.

And on the way out the door, the owner gave Peach this purple plant she'd had her eye on.

Cuteness won't always get you by for free, so soak it up, sister!

Next year, this will definitely be our first stop for flowers!

Four more days until summer, baby!
