i've been feeling a bit guilty lately that i haven't indulged my project-lovin' girl with creative things during our afternoons together.
to be honest, this pregnancy has got me dog-tired and i'm just lucky to throw in a load of laundry most days.
however, today i was feeling much better - maybe i'm turning the corner on this all-day-sleepiness??!?!?
let's hope.
so, we got our craft on with this little project and it turned out way better than i thought it would!
materials:
hand soap in clear bottles with labels removed
goo gone to get rid of the labels
beads
transparency film with something fun to color
permanent markers
peach was all into using the big girl markers after i told her how special they were and that she needed to be really careful with them
she colored the christmas trees and drew pictures in frames as i scrubbed the labels off the bottles of hand soap
after she had them colored, we cut them to size, rolled them up and popped them in the bottles - a few shakes later and they unrolled to reveal a nice, Christmas-y scene
we added a few beads, which was entirely peach's crafty idea
i suggested ribbon on the tops, but she thought that was just too much :)
i think they turned out adorable! some fun gifts for people we love bunches who will be coming to see us soon!
we spent the rest of tulip's nap time getting ready for the big four-est birthday party this weekend.
here's a sneak peek - it's gonna' be awesome!
Amazing! I love the soap idea! Those girls are lucky girls to have such great parents!
