a very special place

Grandma and Grandpa's house...you wouldn't believe how many times a week Peach asks to go there.  Since it is two and half hours away, we go there often, but certainly not as often as she'd like.  So, when we go, it's a big deal.

My parents are expert spoilers, so it's no surprise why she wants to be there as much as possible.

Games on their iphones...

...picking raspberries from their patch out back....

...and eating them all before we get back to the house...

...fresh flowers from the garden....
(and no one cares a bit if she picks every last one)

...homemade peach ice cream (for Peach, of course!)...

...frog hunting with Grandpa....

...snuggles with Grandma...

...popcorn parties in bed and visits from Auntie and Uncle...

There is absolutely no end to the fun here.

The giggles and smiles that are made in this house are louder and bigger than almost anywhere else.  She's a pretty happy girl most of the time, but when she's here, she's giddy.

I always knew I was a lucky girl to have such wonderful parents.  Even when I was in trouble, I knew their love for me ran deep.  But I could never have imagined how perfect they'd be as grandparents. I've learned so much from them and I'm ever so grateful that they get to be such a big part of our lives.

  1. Your parents are wonderful people and I'm not at all surprised on how great of grandparents they are! After all, they did a pretty good job with you and Luke!
