resurrection rolls

Let me begin by saying that I lay no claim to the following idea.
I've seen it floating around the internet and thought it looked like a fun project for today.

resurrection rolls

first, take a marshmallow and dip it in some melted butter.
mmmm...try not to snarf it while explaining how Jesus was anointed with oil

then roll in cinnamon and sugar, talking about the spices that were used to anoint Jesus before his burial

wrap the mallow in a crescent roll, explaining how Jesus' body was wrapped in linens and laid in a tomb.

bake as directed on the crescent roll tube

when it comes out of the oven, you are GUARANTEED to get the look on this guys' face.

because just as the tomb was empty on Easter morning, so is the roll.  and on top of all that excitement, it is delicious as well.

now, that's something to smile about!

we had all that excitement with some good friends who live in western MN and then headed a bit further to celebrate Easter with J's family.

a good time was had by all...including a back rub for J by his sweet gram

Happy Easter...may the knowledge of the empty tomb fill you to overflowing.
